Living History Days

Living History days is an opportunity for guests to learn about early trades like basket weaving and wood turning. On the grounds, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans will set up camp and demonstrate rifle drills. Other demonstrators include a wheelwright, a potter, a violin maker, a vintage vegetable truck, and a soap maker. Inside the museum, period dressed docents and demonstrators will welcome and guide visitors through the museum’s exhibits. Demonstrations taking place in the house will include different types of needle work such as knitting, crocheting, and quilting. The event will take place from 10-5 on April 23 and 12 to 4 on April 24.
