Living History Days

Living History days is an opportunity for guests to learn about early trades like basket weaving and wood turning.   On the grounds, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans will set up camp and demonstrate rifle drills. Other demonstrators include a wheelwright, a potter, a violin maker, a vintage vegetable truck, and a soap maker. Punch on the Porch: Spinners Edition

Three local residents who are skilled “Spinners” will demonstrate all the aspects of using a spinning wheel and discussing the importance of ‘spinning’ to our early pioneers. Demonstrations will take place inside the Museum with Punch served on the porch. FREE event.
